The LLA Training Teams are the foundation of Louisiana Lacrosse Academy. These teams are where athletes learn to play the game the right way—focusing on fundamentals, proper technique, and developing the habits that will carry them to the next level.
Our philosophy is simple: success comes from building strong players both individually and within the team structure. Training Team players will focus on core skills like stick work, footwork, positioning, and decision-making, while also learning how to work as a unit, communicate effectively, and support one another on and off the field.
These teams are designed to prioritize growth and development over wins and losses. Every practice, drill, and scrimmage is centered on teaching athletes the correct way to play the game, so they leave the field not only more skilled but also more confident and prepared for future competition. Players are encouraged to push themselves, take risks, and improve every time they step on the field.
Most importantly, the Training Teams provide a positive, competitive, and fun environment. Athletes become part of a community where they build friendships, learn the value of teamwork, and develop a love for the game that lasts.
At LLA, we believe the Training Teams are not just about teaching lacrosse—they are about teaching life skills, building confidence, and preparing young athletes for success both on and off the field.
